Alex Chilton - Dec 28, 1950 to Mar 17, 2010

Was driving when I heard the news. Embarassingly, I am one of those people who heard his name all over and forever but thought that I had never heard any of the music that he was responsible for. In fact, I had heard quite a bit of it. One song, The Street a track from the first album from his band, Big Star was used as the intro for the popular TV show, That 70's Show. Also, he wrote Boogie Shoes (which is on my iPod) and among many others, The Letter.
Well, check out this link to find out more. Better late than never. He was way too young to check out so soon. We'll still listen to your music Mr. Chilton, and hear your name all over and forever.
